Although the Globe Theater that exists in London today is not situated on the exact spot as the original theater of playwright William Shakespeare, it is as close a replica as can be, and quite an inspiring structure at that. Believe it or not, though Shakespeare was a son of London, who lived here during the late 15th century, the city had not memorialized him until 1997. Actually, the theater was a project, which began in the 1970s, and due to red tape it wasn’t completed until 27 years later.
